How We Spent the Lockdown at Bredon Hill Cleaning Services

During the lockdown the internet was overflowing with challenges, workout videos and fun activities for everyone to get involved. The last 9 weeks were both a curse and a blessing. Many businesses and individuals lost their income, people had to isolate away from friends and some family members. For many families, this pandemic had the most tragic outcome.

But at the same time, we can’t deny the benefits we also reaped from this long period spent at home. We were able to loosen up our tight schedule, spend quality time with our closest people and most importantly we had time to do all the things we always said we never have enough time to do. And in that last bit is the biggest blessing some of us were able to see and receive.

As a cleaning company we had to close for business for over 6 weeks. There was a lot of worry for our staff members, for our clients, for the future of Bredon Hill Cleaning Services. But a true leader shines in dark times.

For me as the founder of the company and a person, who genuinely loves her job, it was never whether we will come back as strong as before. I like taking risks, but more so, I like taking action.

Even though my team and I couldn’t perform our core services during the lockdown, we never stopped working, never stopped learning.

Over the period of 6 weeks, the entire team underwent intensive remote training on

  • Control of Cross Contamination
  • Kitchen Hygiene Control
  • Colour Coding and Infection Control

I knew that this is an essential knowledge and skills all professional cleaners will need post COVID-19. Our core company values include high quality of service and safety for both our staff and clients. I wanted to make sure wherever I send my devoted girls they will be safe and they will be able to provide an effective service to the highest of standards.

Many of my clients are like part of my family, so I genuinely care how they are coping. I kept in touch with all of them in a friendly-professional manner. Some of the messages I got in response were absolutely heartwarming. They miss us just as much as we miss them.

One of the most essential tasks for every business owner is to plan for the future. And so I did. Bredon Hill Cleaning Services is officially back to business as normal, but better and stronger than ever.
